2018 Tech News: Samsung Galaxy S9 vs S9+. Dr Phone Repair Limited, Queen Street, CBD, Auckland, #iPhonerepair, #iPadProrepair, #crackedscreen, #021365733

What’s the difference between Samsung Galaxy S9 vs S9 Plus?

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus are both now official, and we’ve been putting them through our rigorous review process for the past few weeks. So, which should you buy?

Samsung Galaxy S9 vs S9 Plus specs – Which is faster?
For the second year in a row, Samsung’s smaller device doesn’t come with many performance compromises over its bigger sibling.

Both phones are powered by the same Snapdragon 845 mobile platform – Qualcomm’s latest chip that’s built using the same ultra-efficient 10nm process as the 835. If you’re in Europe, your S9/S9 Plus will be powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 9810 chip, but there really isn’t much difference between the two.
Screen sizes remains the same as the outgoing S8 and S8 Plus – 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch respectively – alongside the quad-HD+ resolution. There’s support for HDR10 for video and Dolby Atmos sound through the new front-firing speakers.

We haven't see the iPhone 4S much these days; but we still have a returning customer came by to get the battery replaced.  Our engineer get it done with 20 minutes for this customer.

iPhone 4S was a legend when it was launched couple years ago.  I still remember I was visiting Australia when it was officially launched.  The iPhone 4S' design and operating system was miles ahead of the Android smartphones.
Apple iPhone 4S smartphone was launched in October 2011. The phone comes with a 3.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 640 pixels by 960 pixels at a PPI of 326 pixels per inch. Apple iPhone 4S price in India starts from Rs. 10,900.

About Apple. . . . .

Headquartered in Cupertino, California, the consumer electronics giant entered the smartphone market with the iPhone in 2007, and the tablet market with the iPad in 2010, and the smartwatch market with the Apple Watch in 2014.

New Zealand 2017 Tech Update: Sony Xperia XZ Review - what you should know! Dr Phone Repair Limited, 170, Queen Street, Auckland. Tel: (09) 419-2529

Sony's Xperia XZ has now entered our best phone of 2017 ranking, but it's placed tenth so be sure to take a look at the full list before buying your new phone. Plus Sony has announced the new Xperia XZs, which will replace the Xperia XZ and should be officially released by Sony soon.
The Sony Xperia XZ may be the brand's fourth flagship in the last two years, but it's been a whole year since it released the Xperia Z5 to critical acclaim at IFA 2015.

In the meantime Sony has released the Xperia X, which we believed to be its latest flagship handset at the time – but it wasn't. The Xperia XZ is that phone.

The Xperia Z line is now dead. Every Sony phone will now be part of the Xperia X line, whether it's a budget, mid-range or high-end device, and will sit under the top-dog Xperia XZ – at least until we see the Xperia XZ 2.

It's the best of the best of Sony's mobile tech in one full package. It features all the highlights of Sony phones we've seen the past, put into a melting pot and blended to create something familiar, yet different.

If this was an iPhone, it would be an S iteration. There are small improvements to the design, camera and battery tech – but there's no big, headline feature or major difference when you compare it to the Xperia Z5.

On the iPhone 7, for example, the headline feature was the introduction of a water-resistant build – but Sony has been there and done that, waterproofing its flagships since the Xperia Z back in 2012.

Instead it's a reworking of the highlights from the last few years – and that's not necessarily a bad thing.

See detail review of the Sony Xperia XZ at this link.

2017 Tech Report: Samsung Galaxy S8 Review. Dr Phone Repair Limited, Queen Street, Auckland 094192529

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are the best Android phones you can buy, and they’re not even finished yet. Starting at a fairly steep $750 and $850, respectively, Samsung’s new flagship phones forge a beautiful new path for smartphone design by stripping away unsightly bezels with their respective 5.8- and 6.2-inch infinity displays, and these are the first handsets to boast Qualcomm’s beastly Snapdragon 835 processor for record-breaking performance.

Samsung’s new Bixby virtual assistant is incomplete, and we’re not fans of the fingerprint sensor’s location. But when you add in excellent battery life and improvements to a camera that was already top-notch, you have two winning handsets with the Galaxy S8 and S8+.

The design itself feels like the future!  No offense to the LG G6, but the Galaxy S8 exemplifies a bezel-free phone done right. Samsung didn’t just take away the bezels on this phone; it crafted a space-age work of art with a new infinity display that stretches from edge to edge. The Galaxy S8 not only has a slightly bigger screen-to-body ratio than LG’s phone but also looks sleeker because of the way the Gorilla Glass curves toward the edges on the front and back. Other Android phones look like blah, flat slabs by comparison. The S8 is also thinner and narrower than the G6.

You can get more indepth review on this new phone launched recent at this link.

Useful Smartphone Tips: Ways to Run Android on Your PC and Make Your Own “Dual OS” System. Dr Phone Repair Limited, iPhone, Xperia, Galaxy Unlock, 094192529

Intel is now interested in pushing “Dual OS” PCs — devices with both Windows 8 and Android on them. But you don’t have to buy a new PC to do this — you can run Android apps and even the Android operating system on your current PC.

This allows you to use Android’s ecosystem of touch-based apps on touch-enabled Windows laptops and tablets, so it does make some sense. Of course, the process is clunker than just using Windows 8 apps.  See all the options at this link.

Power Apple iPhone 7S User Tips and Tricks: Migrate notes from Evernote to Apple Notes? Dr Phone Repair, Queen Street, 021365733, 094192529, Network Unlock

Apple dramatically improved its Notes app with iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan last fall thanks to enhanced photo support, new formatting tools, URL snippets, a share extension, and an iCloud Drive backend to keep it all in sync. So much so that people have actually been moving from Evernote to Apple Notes and not looking back, but there hasn’t been a simple way to make the leap until now. Included in the OS X 10.11.4 software update is a new option in the Notes app that makes migrating content from Evernote to Apple Notes a very simple process. Here’s what you’ll need to get started:

A Mac running OS X 10.11.4, it’s currently in beta although there’s a public beta version available as well, this will likely be available to everyone next month
Evernote for Mac, you can download it for free from the Mac App Store
Notes on your Mac, this is pre-installed, just make sure you’re signed in with your iCloud account and using iCloud Drive for the full experience
Note: Migration doesn’t work yet on iPhones and iPads. You’ll need a Mac to do the heavy lifting, then your migrated notes will sync across all platforms including the web. With that in mind, let’s get started.

Install Evernote for Mac from the Mac App Store if you haven’t already.

What is the difference between Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus? Queen Street, Auckland, Dr Phone Repair Limited, +649419365733

It’s that time of year again: new iPhones. But the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are not like any previous Apple iPhone ‘number change’. Instead, from the outside, they look virtually identical to both the iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus and iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. So are they a huge let down or not?

In short: yes and no. On the downside, the leaks proved almost 100% accurate so there were no surprises on the night. But the flip side is Apple has changed a lot internally and provided a major camera overhaul to both models.

So let’s break down the key differences to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus… (Read full article here)
